Good Food Guide reveals best restaurants in the West Midlands

Simpsons is the toast of Birmingham

The top entries and award winners from the 2017 Good Food Guide have been revealed today and Simpsons is the city's big winner.

The Good Food Guide, owned by Waitrose, is a guide to the very best restaurants across Britain. Restaurant Sat Bains, in Nottingham, has been crowned top restaurant in the Midlands, rising to the third best in the UK with L’Enclume in Cumbria topping all, for the fourth year running. Restaurant Nathan Outlaw, in Cornwall was second.

Brum's top performer and new to the Top 50 this year was Simpsons, ranking at no. 35. Also in the top 50 list are Adam’s at 41.

New Brum-based entries in the 1200 strong book included Two Cats Kitchen and Edmunds while Purnell's, Carters, Lasan, Opus, Purnell's Bistro and Turners (now known at Turners @ 69) all featured though not in that exclusive top 50.
