A former Moseley bakery that has lain derelict for more than ten years will be a new Indian street food restaurant and cocktail bar.

The restaurant, Zindiya, will take the site of the Luker’s building as it was known, on Woodbridge Road, near Sabai Sabai.

Offering an all day menu which includes high chai (afternoon tea) and a range of small plates such as bhel puri, 'Zindiya' is derived from the Indian word for ‘life’ and is also the name of the owners daughter “Diya”. It will seat 90 people and is undergoing a major refurbishment to include a new bar area, cellar and semi open kitchen. Work is underway with the aim of opening pre-Christmas.
