MODERN CLASSIC COMES TO BRUM

Mark Haddon's multi-million-selling novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is heading to Birmingham Rep this September in a bold new stage production launching a major UK tour.

Adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens, the production runs at The Rep from 5–19 September, bringing the beloved coming-of-age mystery to Birmingham audiences in a fresh new interpretation.

This reimagining introduces a new perspective on its central character, with Alex Keenan and Imi Price becoming the first women to share the role of maths prodigy and reluctant detective Chris Boone. As Chris sets out to solve the mysterious death of a neighbour's dog, the investigation uncovers family secrets that transform the story into a moving exploration of trust, independence and courage.

Joining them are familiar faces Charlie Brooks (EastEnders) and Joe McFadden (Holby City, Heartbeat) as Chris's parents, alongside a talented ensemble cast.

Directed by Ned Bennett and designed by Eleanor Bull, the production promises inventive storytelling, bold theatrical imagination and an emotionally powerful journey through one of Britain's most beloved modern novels.
